>Sunroom being Transformed

Goodbye blue ceiling and painted white wicker furniture.

Farewell to American Country Style.

Goodbye old green rug.
Toys ……… no more.
The train set is now upstairs.

Out with the old and in with the new. Do you like my new seagrass rug?

I painted the ceiling and walls a bright creamy white.

I washed down the wicker outside.  Who knew it could get so dirty.

Then my husband wanted to help me paint. I almost fell over by the offer.

I think it was the power tool-paint sprayer that got him excited. lol

So I let him take over and he primed and primed and primed. I watched with a smirk on my face.
I was more than happy for him to take over even though he’s not a painter.

We let the wicker dry for a good two weeks before we painted it. I love how the color brown makes the room look so fresh and clean.

No more ‘American Country Style’ here and toy free.

The sheers are from Lowes.  I need to make tiebacks for them.
The sheepskin rug is from Ikea.
I painted the metal watering can and put a picture from a magazine on it with Mod Podge.
New pillows I’ve sewn by hand.

Sadly I’m not finished making the rest of the pillow covers.

The old fabric is very close to the new one. My husband had me look everywhere for something similar.
We started this project last August. I hope to have it finished soon. Well as soon as I learn how to use the sewing machine. I’ve been sewing everything by hand.
